    The UN Regional Commissions New York Office, the Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLAC), the Caribbean and Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) organised a briefing on the recently launched Database on Infrastructure Investments in Latin America and the Caribbean (INFRALATAM). INFRALATAM presents data on infrastructure investments in 15 Latin American countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay).

    The side event to the Habitat III Conference was organized by the five UN Regional Commissions with an objective to highlight the ways in which regional processes can promote the implementation of the New Urban Agenda, according to each region’s specific priorities and within the context of the COP21 agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Apart from underlining the role of the United Nations Regional Commissions in this process, it also provided an opportunity to share the implementation strategy of each region, including the possibility of regional agreements on implementation.
